Plans unveiled for new Waitrose store in Newton Mearns
Waitrose has lodged a planning application to East Renfrewshire Council to build its largest store in Scotland. If successful, the proposed development will see a new store created in Newton Mearns as part of the new Greenlaw Neighbourhood Centre. Sainsbury's expansion plan comes to East Renfrewshire
Sainsbury's have proved they are committed to expansion north of the border with around 10 to 12 new stores planned throughout Scotland within the next couple of years. In March the company bought six former Somerfield stores from the Co-operative one of which was located in Muirend. Scots firms can expect 200m boost from wind farm
